Pops in the Park music performances are a beloved tradition in East Sacramento—an entertainment mainstay for 31 years. June is the traditional month for Pops. We had a two-year pause during the pandemic, but picked up the pieces last year with two great shows. People were delighted to have Pops back.

This year's Pops in the Park events are: June 3, East Portal Park featuring music from Ideateam. June 10, Bertha Henschel Park featuring music from Rod Stinson Band. June 17, McKinley Park featuring music from Joy and Madness. June 24, Glenn Hall Park featuring music from Hipper Than Hip. Music for each event begins at 6 P.M. and lasts till 9.

The first Sacramento Pops in the Park was held in 1991, and the annual event is now firmly established as an East Sacramento tradition. This year's Pops in the Park lineup is/was: June 4 - The Count (East Portal Park) June 11 - Beth Duncan Swing'n Jazz Band (Bertha Henschel Park) June 18 - Joy & Madness (along with Walking Spanish) (McKinley Park)
